Monologues

Stereotypes of Asian women are challenged by some very feisty performers. A cast of seven young actors performs a series of stories: amusing, sometimes shocking, often tragic. There's the tale of young prostitutes in Thailand, the greedy stepmother and the dowry, a prime minister's wife who swaps sex and love for power - and even a vignette about the role of Madame Butterfly in Puccini's opera. The show received rave reviews and played to capacity audiences during its run.
